Hey yall, Happy New Year! - it's still ok to say that right?... Wallevs!

Last year was so so for me but absolutely amazing for those around me...my family and friends achieved so much, it was inspiring and encouraging to see.

So it feels right for my first post of 2012 to be about said achievements...

Say hi to Tobi and Joey aka...

We went uni together many eons ago and have remained friends since... They're a funny pair whom I don't get to hang out with half as much as I'd like :-(

Anways, they are the founders/CEOs/joint designers of their own male accessories line which juxtaposes street culture with a gentlemanly twist. The ethos behind their brand is to create bespoke pieces which add a touch of style to the the daily commute, long haul flight or even mountain trek...

They have a workshop where all their crazy genius comes to life... this is the kind of stuff they get up to there....

Having been to the workshop myself and seeing with my own two eyes some of the plans they have, I know they're gonna churn out some good stuff so don't be surprised if you see me (I know its for men but gellout!) rocking one of their bags, shoot i'd even use their wallet cos true say my purse is falling apart...

Don't tell them yea but i'm tryna worm my way into their head office because they are going places and I for one have no qualms about riding on peoples coat tails, a girls tryna get paid yo!

Apart from being familiar with the whole two minute silence at 11:11am to honor those that died in the First World War, the above date has never really meant that much to me...

But this year all that is set to change...

If you're a regular reader of my blog you will know that I'm really good friends with Bobbi Wande, he's part of my top 5 selected.

So imagine my sheer glee when he announced (after alotta hype talk from myself and a few others) that he was having a 25th birthday party!

His birthday is on the 11th November (obviously) which this year falls on a Friday!

The hype building around his birthday is immense, he sent an e-vite - I made that up, it stands for e-mail invite...walleva - out to all his guests. I read it on my phone and after doing some serious LOLs, I opened it on my laptop and was immediately greeted with this picture:

I just had to ring him and let someone else hear the LOLs, instead of just me in the living room by myself... That was a good day *sigh* 

But anyways, I don't have anything else to say apart from:

I am excited

I dunno what to wear - it wont be nothing spectac so allows scrutinizing 

Its gonna be a real Twitter link-up - if you recognise me, holla me nah!

The afro-beats dancing session will be emotional

I don't wanna get caught slipping - there will be a photographer and someone filming aswell

When I got my BlackBerry 6 months ago (I was a bit of a latecomer) I was like 'Bun updating my status all the time and changing my pic, thats what Twitter is for' 


Now all those who have a BB know that you just get sucked in with all the palaver; the smileys, the broadcasts (I've never sent one before), the direct indirects, the broadcasts (I still haven't sent one), the adding and subsequent deleting of randoms, the broadcasts (I never intend to send one), the group chats, the ping wars...


But the one thing, the one thing that makes me adore my BB and willingly get into work late cos I just had to go home and get it are the various DP's - display pic's for those who aint in the know...
